Johanna joined Media Defence in 2025 with responsibility for Finance and Operations. Previously, Johanna has led the Finance department of several charities, and she also has 20 years of consulting and financial services experience spanning compliance, risk & regulation, mergers & acquisitions, strategic and financial planning.
Media Defence is managed by a professional secretariat based in London.
The trustees believe board diversity is an imperative. They believe gender parity is a priority, alongside ethnic and geographic diversity, as well as the lived experiences of board members, with regard to the issues that Media Defence seeks to tackle.
