Nuestras intervenciones y Escritos de Amicus Curiae

Media Defence presenta escritos ante tribunales nacionales e internacionales en todo el mundo. Su intervención puede adoptar distintas modalidades, entre ellas la de tercero interviniente, amicus curiae o experto que emite opiniones en derecho internacional. El objetivo de estos escritos es asistir a los tribunales en la resolución de los casos que tienen ante sí, en contextos en los que la libertad de prensa se ve amenazada. Los escritos presentados ofrecen a los tribunales perspectivas que, se espera, pongan de relieve la importancia de aplicar los principios internacionales y comparados de la libertad de expresión. Estos pueden desempeñar un papel importante en la configuración de los estándares jurídicos, al identificar y desarrollar avances legales, buenas prácticas internacionales y aportar información específica que no haya sido planteada por las partes involucradas.
