MLDI looking for new chief executive

The Board of Trustees of the Media Legal Defence Initiative is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer, to succeed Peter Noorlander who has led the organisation for the last five years to its current strength and success.

Peter's successor will need to demonstrate significant management experience in an NGO or a public service organisation. He or she should also have a substantial understanding of legal processes and international human rights law; experience of operating in a business leadership role, and of working at the nexus of donors and the media freedom and human rights community. Fluent written and spoken English is essential, and knowledge of other languages, particularly French, Russian, Arabic or Spanish, would be an asset.
